Tuition fees for 2017-entry
The tuition fee you will be charged and the support available is determined by your fee status, which will be Home (UK), EU (rest of European Union), Overseas (outside the European Union) or Islands (Channel Islands or Isle of Man).
Home (UK) and EU students
If you are a Home (UK) or EU student undertaking your first undergraduate degree, the tuition fee for 2017 will be £9,250.
Students from outside the EU
If you are from outside the EU, you will be classed either as an ‘Overseas’ or 'Islands' student and you should be aware that you will not be eligible for any tuition fee support from Oxford or the UK government. If you are an Overseas student, you will be charged a significantly higher level of tuition fee, which will vary according to your programme of study (see the courses listing for full details). Additional information for medical students
If you are a Home (UK) or EU student on the six-year medicine course, you will have different tuition fee arrangements in years five and six. Tuition fees for UK students in these years of study will be covered by the NHS. Tuition fee support arrangements for EU students in years five and six are not yet known. Medical students with Islands or Overseas fee status should note that the tuition fees for the clinical years of their course will be considerably higher.

College fees
Each college charges a fee that is separate from, and in addition to, the University tuition fee. This college fee covers academic facilities and other services that are provided by your college, it does not include accommodation or meals.
College fees are payable for all matriculated courses. The exact amounts are indicated below. For certain courses the college fee is included in the University fee. Separate college fees are not payable by Home/EU students reading for an undergraduate degree (subject to * below). College fees are not generally payable for non-matriculated courses although a small number of courses may permit college affiliation for which a charge will be made.
Undergraduate college fees
Full time undergraduates classified as Home/EU for fees purposes do not pay a college fee (except for certain pre-2012 entrants, as highlighted at * below). This college fee covers academic facilities and other services that are provided by your college, it does not include accommodation or meals.

Please note:
Overseas graduate entry medicine students will usually be charged a college fee at the undergraduate rate in Year 1 and at the graduate rate (£3,021 in 2017/18) in Years 2 to 4.
Overseas undergraduate medicine students in the clinical years of their course (Years 4 to 6) will usually be charged a college fee at the graduate rate (£3,021 in 2017/18).
PGCE students classified as Home/EU for fees purposes do not usually pay a college fee.
College fees will not be charged to undergraduate Overseas or Islands students on a year abroad.

Living costs
Your living costs will vary significantly dependent on your lifestyle. These are estimated to be between £1,002 and £1,471 per month in 2017-18. Undergraduate courses usually consist of three terms of eight weeks each, but as a guide you may wish to budget over a nine-month period to ensure you also have sufficient funds during the holidays to meet essential costs.
